Bluffs Run Greyhound announces $800,000 of stakes race money for 2010!

$60,000 Kennel Championship
$60,000 Spring Futurity
$60,000 3/8 Mile Derby
$60,000 Bluffs Run Open
$60,000 Fall Futurity
$500,000 Iowa Breeders Classic

A new stakes race will start on January 6, the $60,000 Kennel Championship. The Kennel Championship will consist of 12 rounds, one a month, over the 5/16 mile course. Each kennel will submit four entries, one for grade A, one for grade B, one for grade C and one for grade D. The kennel will earn points biased on how their greyhound finished in each race. The points will accumulate for each round and this will determine the winner.

The return of the $60,000 Spring Futurity will start on March 17.

The return of the $60,000 3/8 Mile Derby will start on May 12, however the 3/8 Mile Derby will NOT have a minimum start requirement. This race could be considered a $60,000 Open 3/8 Mile Derby.

The return of the $60,000 Bluffs Run Open will start on June 16. The entries for outside greyhounds must be submitted by May 29. Kennel entries are due June 8.

The return of the $60,000 Fall Futurity will start on September 15.

The biggest race in the country, the $500,000 Iowa Breeders Classic, will start on October 20.

Remember that there is no entry fee for any of the stakes races, however be sure to look at the stakes rules for each stakes race.
